What Can You Do?

Write your state legislators

in the House and Senate.

SPEAK UP!

Remember the pen is

mightier than the sword.

Opinions & Observations

Who is to blame for the present plight most pain sufferers find themselves in?

How did it come to pass that a United States government entity, the Drug Enforcement Administration is allowed to practice medicine without a license?

The latter question is one that is vital to the sanctity of the practice of healthcare in this country.  My question is - WHY HASN'T IT BEEN ASKED BEFORE?

The government has sanctioned themselves to practice medicine and prescribe medication simply because, THEY CAN!

They know that they will not be interrogated or pressured to explain themselves from our present society, since it has become languid and passive.

Just as there is separation of church and state, there should also be separation of medical practice from the state and government level.

The United States government simply does not have the authority to impose this kind of tyranny upon the people, nor does the constitution sanction such actions by the government; even if they constitute these actions on the basis of protection for ethical practices in the medical community.

So what are they gaining by regulating diversion and prescribing practices of qualified, dedicated physicians of Class II narcotics, such as opiod pain relievers?

Control?

Why would a government want its tax payers to be in unrelenting pain and not be able to work?

Once we know the answers to these questions we might just have a platform with which to counteract the controls, that the United States government has literally, without legislation or even a vote, forced upon the people.

Wake up America!

We are in deep trouble if we allow more situations like this one to be forced upon us, especially if we have no say in it whatsoever.  What will it be next?

Are we going to allow the government to tell us how many children we may conceive, where to live, what type of cars we can buy, and so on.

I know all the previous situations sound ludicrous, just as the prescribing practices of doctors and medicine controls do.

If someone had told me 30 years ago that I would have to fight the American Judicial system to obtain a prescription for a desperately needed pain reliever like methadone, I would have called the person a nut!

Yet today - IT IS happening.

He Lives in Wisdom

He lives in wisdom,

Who sees himself in all,

And all in him.

Whose love for infinite love,

Has consumed every sense craving,

And selfish desire tormenting the heart.

Not agitated by grief,

Nor hankering after pleasure,

He is not elated by good fortune,

Nor depressed by bad.

Fettered no more by selfish attachments,

He lives free from desire, fear and anger,

Such is one who sees with clarity.

But when the attention dwells on sense objects,

Attachment comes.

Attachments breeds the lust of possession and achievement,

Which when pursued flies to worry,

And when thwarted burns to anger.

Both cloud the judgement,

And rob one of the ability to learn from others,

Or from one's own experience.

Gone is the discriminative facility,

And one's life is utter waste.

But when one moves amidst The Word of Sense,

From both passion and aversion freed,

There comes the peace in which all sorrows end,

And one lives in the wisdom of the self.

The disunited mind is far from wise.

How can it meditate?

How know it peace?

When one lets the mind follow the siren call of the senses,

They carry away the better judgement,

As a typhoon drives a boat off its charted course to its doom.

He is forever free who has broken out of the ego cage of I and mine.

Attain thou this,

And pass from where you are now,

To where you have always been.
